First, Sigrid's full name is Sigrid de L'Azur. Both parts reveal something interesting when broken down. "Sigrid" is taken from the Valkyrie Sigrdrífa in Norse mythology. The name derives from Old Norse roots, meaning victory, battle, triumph on one hand, and beauty, peace on the other.

In the Norse epic "Edda" and Norse sagas, Sigrdrífa is consistently described as someone with a strong and upright personality, who holds firm to her principles and does not blindly follow authority — matching the in-game Sigrid perfectly.

As for "de L'Azur," it seems reasonable to speculate that it is a fictional noble surname, likely derived from the medieval system of hereditary noble families.
