ZZZ Promeia: Team Build Character Recommendations

Zenless Zone Zero Promeia is now officially live in today's Version 2.8. With Hoshimi Miyabi's team composition not being optimal, many Proxies are likely planning to pull for this new, more contemporary Ice Anomaly main DPS. 

However, the recent reinforcements to the Anomaly system are numerous and complex, leaving many Proxies unsure how to build a team for Promeia. Today, we will analyze Promeia's team-building strategies for everyone!

1. ZZZ Promeia - Teammate Recommendations

1.1 Sub-DPS

Nangong Yu

The strongest anomaly sub-DPS of the new era, though not strictly an anomaly-type character, Nangong Yu is a comprehensive anomaly system that covers Daze, Abloom, and Polarity Disorder. With exceptional numerical power, he is currently the best teammate for nearly all anomaly DPS characters. He has directly pushed the previously competitive Vivian and Burnice off the stage, allowing anomaly DPS to also enjoy the thrill of Daze, making him the undisputed top choice.

Vivian

As a traditional anomaly sub-DPS, Vivian provides the highest frequency of Abloom, delivering maximum energy generation for Promeia and optimizing sustainability. Without Nangong Yu, Vivian is the conventional optimal solution. However, compared to teams with Nangong Yu, teams with Vivian will have fewer instances of Daze, thus requiring more careful resource planning during the Daze phase.

Aria

In this team composition, Aria holds the main DPS role, while Promeia is used as the sub-DPS. Promeia has a high Anomaly Proficiency stat, excellent anomaly accumulation capability, and possesses exclusive bonuses for Abloom, logically making her compatible with Aria in a team. If you have a high-investment Mindscape Cinema Aria and did not pull for Nangong Yu previously, pairing her with Aria to form a team can also yield decent combat strength.

1.2 Support

Ukinami Yuzuha

As a traditional anomaly support, Yuzuha provides the most comprehensive buffs for the team. She can be chosen as a teammate in any situation.

Sunna

Sunna is a Veil system buffer. Her buffing effects are average, but she can provide relatively frequent Veils for the team. She can be used when paired with Nangong Yu or Aria, offering some additional team enhancement.

Nicole Demara

Promeia herself possesses considerable DEF Ignore. When paired with Nicole, she can deal near Rupture-level anomaly damage. If you don't have a limited S-rank anomaly support, Nicole is an excellent and versatile choice.

2. ZZZ Promeia - Team Build Recommendations

2.1 Promeia Stun Team

Promeia + Nangong Yu + Ukinami Yuzuha / Sunna / Nicole Demara

Nangong Yu possesses extremely fast Stun efficiency and can also provide Promeia with a large amount of Abloom and Polarity Disorder, making him the only choice for the Stun system. For Support, Ukinami Yuzuha is the optimal solution; if unavailable, Sunna or Nicole are viable alternatives.

2.2 Promeia Abloom Team

Promeia + Vivian + Ukinami Yuzuha / Nicole Demara

The team's Abloom frequency is significantly increased, and Promeia's resource accumulation speed will also undergo a qualitative change, allowing her ultimate to recharge faster. Although it sacrifices some support value compared to Nangong Yu, the overall experience is still good. For the Support position, only consider Ukinami Yuzuha or Nicole; there is no need to choose Sunna.

2.3 Aria/Promeia Dual-Core Team

Aria + Promeia + Ukinami Yuzuha / Sunna / Nicole Demara

Both Aria and Promeia serve as main DPS, creating some competition, but due to their compatible mechanics, using them in the same team is still feasible. Just ensure Aria gets to attack fully during the Daze phase.

Summary

As an anomaly DPS, Promeia delivers solid performance with different team compositions. Beyond the more conventional Stun and Abloom systems, she also has decent strength as a sub-DPS in Aria teams. Overall, she is a highly flexible character for team-building. If you're currently in need of an Ice attribute anomaly DPS, Promeia's performance will not disappoint.
