ZZZ Claret Flint: How to Build the First Armorer Main DPS?
Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 is here. Claret Flint is the first Armorer main DPS in ZZZ, and many Proxies have already pulled her. So how should you build this defense-system core? Today we bring you a full build guide for Claret Flint — gear, skill upgrades, team comps and all training plans included.

W-Engine Recommendation
Crimson Thirst > Catty Luck = Bloodmarrow Coffer

Drive Disks Recommendation
Sets: Thorned Rose 4 + Woodpecker Electro 2 / Puffer Electro 2

Thorned Rose finally has its main user. The 2-piece gives 16% DEF bonus. The 4-piece gives 15% DMG bonus and 16% CRIT Rate, with many good stat options. Besides Claret Flint, later Armorer characters will likely use this set too.

For the 2-piece, you can use the standard Woodpecker Electro 2. Its 8% CRIT Rate is very stable and strong. If you have a good Puffer Electro 2 and a PEN Ratio Slot 5, you can run 32 PEN on Claret Flint. Pairing with Rina gives better value, and as support buffers for different damage types get stronger, her 32 PEN build will reach a higher ceiling.
Main Stats
Slot 4: CRIT Rate
Slot 5: Electric DMG / PEN Ratio
Slot 6: DEF
Claret's CRIT DMG substat is always equivalent to 0.7 CRIT Rate substat, so Slot 4 should always choose CRIT Rate, and Slot 6 should always choose DEF. Slot 5 can be flexibly chosen between Electric DMG and PEN Ratio. If the 2-piece set is Puffer Electro, then always use PEN Ratio as the main stat.
Substats
CRIT Rate > DEF > CRIT DMG > PEN
As an Armorer main DPS, Claret needs 200% CRIT Rate to reach crit cap in practice, so you can safely stack CRIT Rate substats, with DEF as the next priority. CRIT DMG equals 0.7 CRIT Rate, making it a good substat too, and even rolling into PEN still has some value.
Skill Priority
Special Attack > Basic Attack = Chain Attack > Assist > Dodge

Special Attack is Claret's main damage source, so it has the highest upgrade priority. It's recommended to max it out at level 12 first. Basic Attack and Chain Attack come second, suggested to level them alternately to 11, then max them out if resources permit.
Assist and Dodge are used relatively less. However, Assist affects Daze, so it's generally recommended to at least level it to 7 or above. If resources are sufficient, you can level it to 11. As for Dodge, not leveling it is fine.
Team Recommendation
As the first limited Armorer main DPS, Claret doesn't have dedicated teammates for now. But with Rina and Koleda joining, there are still some solid and low-cost team comps available.
Claret + Norma / Koleda + Rina

Claret's standard team comp is pairing her with Stun and Support characters. Roxy hasn't been released yet, so Norma and Koleda are the priority picks for the Stun slot. Norma provides extra Chain Attacks, while Koleda also has great synergy with Claret after her buff. As for the Support slot, Rina is basically the designated choice right now — after her buff, she provides PEN Ratio, DEF, and Electric DMG buffs, making her very well-rounded. If you don't have Rina, it's recommended to run double Stun with Norma and Koleda.
That concludes the full build guide for Claret Flint. I believe after reading this, every Proxy can raise a perfectly built Claret. Do you have any questions or insights about building Claret? Remember to keep following our articles and on-site merchandise. See you next time!
