Zenless Zone Zero: Roundup of Characters Most in Need of Enhancements
In the current version of Zenless Zone Zero, the three Void Hunters are now assembled. Players focused on strength no longer worry about the toughest challenges, but the strength of many older characters has fallen far behind the current version.
Today, we will break down the characters in Zenless Zone Zeromost in need of enhancements - including both standard and limited ones. Without these buffs, they are nearly unplayable!
ZZZ Nekomata: Weak Since Launch, Still Awaiting Enhancement

Nekomata was likely the main exploration force for many players early on. In the initial stages when everyone had low investment and damage felt slow, Nekomata naturally stood out thanks to her exceptionally smooth and satisfying gameplay feel. However, the good times didn't last. Insufficient numerical values quickly relegated Nekomata to a weak character. It wasn't until Seed was released that she found temporary re-employment as a sub-DPS.
Version 2.5 brought enhancements to two standard S-Rank characters, Soldier 11 and Grace. Among them, Soldier 11 has been completely reborn, with high-investment builds even surpassing Evelyn, which has reignited hope for Nekomata. Nekomata is now the only remaining standard S-Rank main DPS who hasn't received a buff. We believe that day is not too far off.
ZZZ Rina: Low Stats and Uptime - Strength Misjudged Since Launch

At launch, as the only S-Rank Support, Rina was initially held in high regard. However, it turned out that her supportive capabilities (buffing power) were severely lacking. Combined with multiple issues regarding uptime and gameplay feel, Rina became the most misjudged support, even falling short compared to some A-Rank Supports.
Currently, limited S-Rank Supports for various team compositions have been released. I believe it's quite reasonable for Rina to receive a buff in the future. As a standard S-Rank character, she should at least not be comprehensively weaker than A-Rank Supports. After an enhancement, she could also improve team composition flexibility for some players and enhance the experience for new players starting the game.
ZZZ Zhu Yuan: Only Wins at Having a Happy Family?

Zhu Yuan's strength during Version 1.0 was already quite decent. She remained viable from launch until around Version 1.7. However, with the arrival of Yixuan in Version 2.0, Zhu Yuan was completely overshadowed.
Currently, she is arguably one of the most difficult-to-use Limited S-Rank Main DPS. Ellen Joe, who was also released in Version 1.0, has already received buffs twice. If Zhu Yuan doesn't get strengthened soon, the only thing she'll truly be winning at is having both parents alive and well.
ZZZ Caesar: Every Character has Invincibility Frames

Defense is a role that has been nearly abandoned in Zenless Zone Zero. Compared to Support characters, their utility is lacking, and their positioning is relatively ambiguous. Caesar's shield was only popular for a short time right after her release, reaching its peak during a climbing challenge, and then her viability quickly declined.
Currently, Limited S-Rank Support characters for various roles have all been implemented. For Caesar to be revitalized in the future, it will likely require waiting for new mechanics to be introduced. An enhancement plan similar to Burnice's, adding new mechanics to Caesar, might be the only opportunity.
ZZZ Asaba Harumasa: "Not Considering Removal"

As one of the rare male-limited S-Rank Agents in Zenless Zone Zero, Asaba Harumasa enjoys considerable popularity. However, since being given out for free in Version 1.4, he has never had a rerun banner-amounting to 355 days and counting-nor has he been added to a self-select Agent pool like Qingyi.
In terms of strength, being a free character, Harumasa doesn't hold a significant advantage. If a rerun is to be considered, it would likely require a major buff to make it viable.
ZZZ Trigger: Severely Lacking in Stats

Trigger's mechanics are actually quite excellent-providing off-field Stun while also dealing a decent amount of direct damage. However, her supportive capability is limited to a 35% Daze vulnerability, which offers low numerical value.
Trigger is an unmatched Stun Agent at high investments. With his 1-portrayal and Signature Weapon combo, she gains DEF reduction and a 55% Daze vulnerability across all phases, offering both strong support and high personal stats. However, the cost is relatively high. If the power of his 0-portrayal base kit could be enhanced, this Stun Agent wouldn't be left overshadowed.
That concludes the characters in Zenless Zone Zerocurrently most in need of enhancements. They all find themselves in awkward positions, and I believe everyone is also very much looking forward to them receiving buffs soon.
