Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.3: Five Top-Tier "Must-Pull" Agents

As ZZZ storyline progresses, we have not only welcomed new maps and events but have also been introduced to many new S-Rank Agents. So, which of these agents are considered "must-pull" and how well do they fit into various team compositions? Today, let's break it down.

1. ZZZ Best Main DPS Agents: Hoshimi Miyabi & Yixuan

Calling these two Void Hunters the strongest main DPS agents shouldn't be too controversial. Firstly, it's because they are inherently powerful, capable of dealing high damage with relatively simple mechanics. Hoshimi Miyabi has numerous invincibility frames, while Yixuan possesses a block mechanic, making them both very safe to use during on-field combat.

Secondly, as Void Hunter-level agents, there will always be suitable combat environments tailored for them. Enemies weak to Ice or Ether will be ever-present, ensuring these two always have a place in teams. Finally, they continue to receive new synergistic teammates; Hoshimi Miyabi gained Yuzuha, and Yixuan gained Lucia, which keeps their team compositions updated and their strength relevant to the current version.

Some main DPS agents might perform excellently in their suitable version and environment, but can fade into obscurity once that version or environment passes. However, these two Void Hunter agents have remained highly effective. If you could only pull for two main DPS agents, they should undoubtedly be Hoshimi Miyabi and Yixuan

2. Zenless Zone Zero Best Support Agent: Astra Yao

Zenless Zone Zerocurrently has three limited S-Rank Support agents: Astra Yao, Yuzuha, and Lucia. They all provide significant boosts to their compatible main DPS agents and are worth pulling for, but the strongest Support agent is undoubtedly Astra Yao.

Astra Yao has the highest versatility. While she primarily synergizes with ATK agents, she can also adapt to work with Anomaly and Hunt Break agents. Furthermore, Astra Yao possesses the most comprehensive functionality: she enables a large number of Quick Assist switches, provides free Chain Attacks, and her Ultimate heals the entire team. These are capabilities that 0-Mindscape Yuzuha and Lucia do not possess (Note: Lucia's Ultimate healing only applies to the on-field agent).

Lastly, it's worth mentioning that Astra Yao has the simplest operation; she can provide support just by singing in the backline, whereas Yuzuha and Lucia need to be switched in to apply their buffs.

3. Zenless Zone Zero Most Versatile Stun Agent: Trigger

In recent months, the Stun agent roster in Zenless Zone Zerohas flourished with diversity. Among them, Ju Fufu suits Ultimate-focused main DPS agents, Lighter suits Ice and Fire attribute Strong Attack agents, Qingyi suits burst-type agents, while the most versatile is undoubtedly Trigger. Trigger can function effectively from the backline without occupying the main DPS's on-field time. She can both accumulate Daze value and increase the enemy's vulnerability multiplier, enhancing the damage output of various main DPS types, including Strong Attack, Anomaly, and Rupture.

However, a Trigger at 0+0 (no duplicates and no signature equipment) offers relatively average support effectiveness. Her Daze accumulation speed is not particularly fast, and she primarily provides only the vulnerability multiplier increase as a support effect, resulting in a limited overall boost to the team. It is recommended to aim for Trigger at 0+1 (equipped with her signature W-Engine). With the DEF reduction provided by her signature W-Engine, she becomes significantly more effective

4. ZZZ Most Versatile Anomaly Sub-DPS: Vivian

Since Anomaly teams need to trigger the Corruption effect, they typically use a configuration of one Anomaly Main DPS + one Anomaly Sub-DPS. Among the Anomaly Main DPS agents, such as Hoshimi Miyabi, Tsukishiro Yanagi, and Alice, their Anomaly Sub-DPS can all choose Vivian. This makes Vivian highly versatile; once you pull her, she's unlikely to sit idle in your roster.

When an Anomaly Main DPS on the field uses their EX Special Attack or applies an Anomaly status, Vivian will automatically launch a special attack, dealing Abloom damage. The value of this damage is a set percentage of the original Anomaly damage. The higher the original Anomaly damage, the higher Vivian's Abloom damage will be. Even if newer, stronger Anomaly Main DPS agents are released in the future, you can still use Vivian to form teams with them.
