Zenless Zone Zero "Krampus Compliance Authority": Faction Introduction and Prototype Investigation

Recently, Zenless Zone Zero official released the character artwork for Dialyn and Banyue. Let's briefly introduce Dialyn, Banyue, and their affiliated faction, the "Krampus Compliance Authority". We believe many Proxies may not yet be familiar with this new line-up. Today, let's discuss the new faction and its Agents by combining previous storyline details and official content.

1. Zenless Zone Zero "Krampus Compliance Authority" Faction

First, let's talk about the "Krampus Compliance Authority" faction, which previously appeared during the Porcelumex mining incident in the Waifei Peninsula. The "Krampus Compliance Authority" is a mysterious organization under the umbrella of TOPS, and their true nature often remains unknown. The Authority is responsible for managing regulations within TOPS (reviewing, adjudicating, and maintaining rules), ensuring the balance of the market.

The "Krampus Compliance Authority" will initiate liquidation procedures against individuals or groups within TOPS who engage in disqualifying conduct or violate rules and regulations. Consequently, many within TOPS refer to the Authority as a "harbinger of doom." However, during the crisis Damian Blackwood found himself in, he referred to the "Krampus Compliance Authority" as his savior.

2. Zenless Zone Zero "Krampus Compliance Authority" - Name Origin

The name of the "Krampus Compliance Authority" faction likely originates from a character in the folklore of the Alpine region (such as Germany, Austria), named "Krampus".

Krampus is a demonic figure opposed to Santa Claus (St. Nicholas). In the legend, St. Nicholas rewards well-behaved children in December, while Krampus punishes naughty and disobedient children. His appearance is typically half-human, half-goat, with horns on his head, a long tongue, messy hair, and he holds a black birch branch to whip bad children, sometimes even carrying a basket on his back to put the bad children in.

This also corresponds to the line spoken by Zhao in the storyline: "Commercial games do not always allow us to follow the rules; this is the Round Table's mercy. But when those unruly children play too wildly, the stern mother will extend her black branch."

3. Zenless Zone Zero "Krampus Compliance Authority" - Agent Information

The currently announced Agents for the "Krampus Compliance Authority" faction are Zhao, Dialyn, and Banyue.

3.1 Dialyn

Based on the information from Dialyn's official artwork, she is a customer service representative for the Krampus Compliance Authority. However, contrasting with her cute appearance, her customer service style is sarcastic and mocking. There is also lore about her slacking off, making the access to live customer service extremely well-hidden.

"A complaint? Hey, don't get too worked up~"

"Considering you looked a bit pale, that was a special service to get some color back in your face~"

"Ha! You've managed to find the super hidden customer service portal!"

"There's an old saying in Waifei Peninsula: 'Rats are born to burrow.' Ever heard of it?"

"If you ask me, even the craftiest rat can't dig as deep as you can ~~(･ω<)☆"

Dialyn's name sounds similar to "Dialing", which can be considered a characteristic of her identity. The most noteworthy aspect in her official artwork is the "tragic element"; beneath a seemingly cheerful smile, there likely lies a painful past.

3.2 Banyue

The other Agent, Banyue, is an Intelligent Construct. Judging from his official artwork, he is a character filled with a strong sense of justice. However, perhaps due to being an Artificial Intelligence, he is not entirely clear on the meanings of some human terms

In character evaluations, it seems Banyue may develop human-like emotions in the future, giving off a "Detroit: Become Human" vibe. We can look forward to seeing what kind of storyline unfolds next for these characters in the "Krampus Compliance Authority".
