Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 Banner Planning: How Should Common Players Choose?
Version 2.2 is mostly over. Are you still be entangled with whether to pull for Seed or Orphie Magnusson & Magus? Are the rerun characters Trigger and Evelyn worth pulling again? Should you invest in their Mindscape levels? Version 2.3 will add an Octopus Girl and the first Rupture Support, making choices even more dazzling.
Ordinary players, however, only have less than 200 pulls. How should they pull to avoid losses? Today, we will rationally plan a pulling strategy from three perspectives: BOX depth, remaining resources, and future characters.

1. Zenless Zone Zero Banner Information
The Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2 lasts for 41 days in total. Ordinary players can save up to 91 pulls, monthly card players can accumulate 114 pulls, and New Eridu City Fund participants can gather 123 pulls. The overall expected pull count for obtaining a character is around 135 pulls. Factoring in the pulls exchangeable in the shop, monthly card players can reliably obtain one limited Agent per version. However, ordinary players might struggle to secure even one limited character if luck is not on their side.
Meanwhile, forming a complete team requires at least two S-rank Agents. Unless they have been saving pulls specifically for Version 2.2, it is unrealistic for ordinary players to acquire all Agents from Versions 2.2 to 2.3-they must make choices and prioritize.
2. Zenless Zone Zero Vension 2.2-2.3 New Agents
2.1 Version 2.2 Chase 1 Banner: Seed

An Electric-attribute main Attack Agent with strong support capabilities. She has extremely high stats but lacks teammate synergy, making her a future-proof investment. If you lack an Electric main DPS, she is worth pulling.
2.2 Version 2.2 Chase 2 Banner: Orphie Magnusson & Magus

A backline Pursuit Attack Agent, essentially the Attack-attribute version of Burnice. Her strength is average. Whether to pull depends on if you want to enhance your Soldier 0 - Anby team.
2.3 Version 2.3 Chase 1 Banner: Lucia

A Penetration Support Agent. Her kit is power-budgeted by the second-half banner character Yidhari. Although she can support Yixuan, compared to Panda and Astra Yao, she lacks unique mechanics and offers limited numerical improvements. It is temporarily not recommended to specifically pull for Lucia for Yixuan. Especially as a support, she surprisingly lacks a Quick Assist skill and cannot provide self-buffs.
2.4 Version 2.3 Chase 2 Banner: Yidhari

An Ice-attribute Rupture Agent who consumes HP. Coupled with the new high-defense enemies in Deadly Assault, changes targeting Hoshimi Miyabi are inevitable. Therefore, Proxies without Yixuan are advised to pull her as a countermeasure. However, remember that a new Void Hunter is coming in the next few versions, so we still need to discuss how ordinary players should choose.
3. Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.2-2.3 Gacha Planning
Starting with Agent reruns: Trigger generally requires E1 (1st Eidolon) and her signature weapon to be considered a complete and versatile unit. If you don't play Follow-up Assault Teams, Trigger's overall damage is average and she comes with opportunity cost, so it's not recommended to waste resources on her. Compared to supports of the same level, there is a certain gap in strength. She is only recommended for spending players to pull-for example, those who want to max her constellations to strengthen their teams, such as enhancing Hoshimi Miyabi and Astra Yao teams. Secondly, unless a player already has Trigger at E0 with her signature weapon, it is not recommended to pull for her.
The team composed of Evelyn (from the second-half banner), Lighter, and Astra Yao is currently the only non-Void Hunter team that can rival Void Hunter teams. It has remained strong from Version 1.5 all the way to Version 2.0 and is still powerful now. The drawbacks are fewer invincibility frames, high demand for mechanical skill, and being bound to Astra Yao. Although she is currently the only limited Fire-attribute Agent, the team-building cost is high, and she has already been through five versions. Unless you already own Lighter and Astra Yao, it is not recommended for ordinary players to pull for her. Moreover, the next Void Hunter is highly likely to be a Fire-attribute Agent.

Seed has solid output, an energy regeneration mechanism, and can serve as a sub-DPS. Her numerical values rank among the T0 tier of limited Agents, comparable to Miyabi and Yixuan. However, her overall damage delivery is slow, and there's little time left for enhanced normal attacks after executing the Ultimate during the imbalance window. If more suitable teammates arrive in the future, her strength could rival that of Void Hunters.
But since Version 2.3 has officially announced the Rupture system, pulling for her now means waiting for teammates; currently, she can only be used in a dual Attack system paired with a Rupture character with short field time. The only Attack characters that can pair with her now are Nekomata and Soldier 11, which overall lowers her strength, making her a future-proof investment.

Orphie is a backline Pursuit Attack Agent, considered the final piece for Pursuit teams. However, her overall strength is balanced around her backline mechanism, resulting in average numerical values. In Pursuit teams, replacing Astra Yao with her only offers about a 10% improvement, which is not cost-effective. The investment required to pull for Orphie is better spent on Soldier 0 - Anby's Mindscape, which offers greater improvement by comparison.
Unless you specifically want to free up Astra Yao, but currently, anomaly teams have Yuzuha, Yixuan teams have Panda, and Rupture teams have Yidhari, so most systems aren't lacking supports. Although Orphie can team up with Seed, their mechanics don't synergize well, making them less compatible than the pairing of Nekomata and Seed. Currently, Orphie is somewhat like Burnice-usable but not outstanding. Unless you really like Orphie, it's not recommended to pull for her.

In summary, for the entire Version 2.2, aside from upgrading Trigger's Eidolon from E0 to E1, or adding Evelyn to complete a team with Astra Yao and Lighter, it is still more advisable for players to save resources in advance for future, more powerful Agents or Void Hunters.
Finally, Lucia in Version 2.3 is generally not as strong as other supports. Her improvement for Yixuan is mostly numerical and she seems more like a dedicated support for Yidhari. Overall, it's better to wait and observe further. Meanwhile, Yidhari is an Ice-attribute Agent, but it's still too difficult to rival Hoshimi Miyabi in the Ice domain. However, the Rupture attribute's defense-ignoring mechanism is more favorable in Version 2.3. If you don't have Yixuan, consider pulling for Yidhari.

This concludes all the gacha planning after Version 2.2. We believe this will certainly help you. However, players should still pull based on their preferences-what you like is what's best! Don't forget to follow us for more articles and in-site merchandises. See you next time.
