What is a Combat Engaged State in Zenless Zone Zero?
Proxies, please follow along with me as we learn to understand what "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" is. Many proxies may have already known about "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state". But today, we will focus on how the buffs related to "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" are triggered. The actual timing of "Combat Takeover state" is not as simple as described in the text, let's take a look together.
1. Introduction to "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state"
First, let's take a look at the latest "State Transfer chart".

First of all, when we enter a battle, our default state is "Out of Combat state". Once we have attracted the enemy's hate, we will enter the "Fake Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" and try to trigger the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" buff.
If you are in the "Fake Combat Takeover(Engaged) state", you will continue to lose enemy hate for seven seconds, and then you will fall back to the "Out of Combat state". It is important to emphasize that all three agents in team have the same states, regardless of whether they are in the front or back stage. When we talk about "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state", we are talking about going from the "Out of Combat state" to the "Fake Combat Takeover(Engaged) state".
2. Timing of "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" related buffs
First of all, the first category is when you simply enter the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state". Currently, only Jane's exclusive W-Engine "Sharpened Stinger" belongs to this category. In normal combat, the Sharpened Stinger effect is only triggered when a agent enters the "Fake Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" from the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) State", regardless of whether the character is in the foreground or background. So in normal combat, as long as there is an enemy in the battle, the buff will only be triggered once by entering the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state", so for Sharpened Stinger, you will need to rely on perfect dodging to trigger more layers of effects.

The second category is triggered when you enter the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" or switch your character into the foreground. For example, [Vortex]Hatchet, Soldier 11's Mindscape I, and Lina and Anton's Mindscape II all fall into this category. The trigger conditions for this category are more complex than the text describes. In fact, the full description is that the effect is triggered when the character enters the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" or switches to the front stage. This means that the buff will not trigger when the agent enters the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" in the back stage, or when the agent enters the front stage in the "Out of Combat state".

The last category is when exiting the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state", which is only included in the Nekomiya's Mindscape VI, except for the two Hollow Resoniums.

And finally, that's it for this article. There isn't much to say about the "Combat Takeover(Engaged) state" in ZZZ at the moment, but it's an interesting description that needs to be developed.
